Germany beat Scotland 5-1 in the first match of Euro 2024 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Florian Wirtz opened the scoring in the tenth minute, and immediately afterwards Jamal Musiala scored attractively for his team. At the end of the first half, Kai Havertz scored a goal from the penalty spot, and shortly before that, Porteus was sent off with a straight red card for a foul on Ilkay Gundogan.
The tempo after the break was expectedly not so high, but Niklas Fulkrug, who came from the bench, scored a spectacular goal in the 68th minute. In the 87th minute, Antonio Rudiger scored an own goal, but in the 93rd minute, Emre Can made the final 5:1 with a long-range shot.
Thus, Germany started the home championship fiercely and is undoubtedly already among the big favorites to win the title. Tomorrow the match will be played between the other two teams in the group – Hungary and Switzerland.
